ABACA DIGITAL / LONDON

Website design

Website design for small and medium-sized businesses. Make your services clear, show your work and help local customers get in touch.

Start with your audience.

Your customers need to understand what you offer, where you work and how to contact you. We plan your website around those questions, whether you run an estate agency, retail shop, building company or another local business.

Design and development, together.

We shape navigation, visual design and responsive layouts with the eventual build in mind, considering content across desktop, tablet and mobile.

  • Website structure and user journeys
  • Visual design and responsive layouts
  • Redesigns for existing websites
  • Design planned around your CMS
  • Service pages, project galleries and clear enquiry routes

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR CUSTOMERS

Make the next step easy.

Answer the questions that matter.

A visitor should be able to understand what you do, where you work and how to contact you without searching through several pages. For a local business, useful detail often matters more than a large website.

We start with your main services, the customers you want to reach and the information they need before making an enquiry. That helps us decide which pages deserve attention and which content can stay simple.

Build confidence before the enquiry.

Clear service descriptions, real project photographs and accurate business information help people assess whether you are the right fit. Where available, approved customer feedback and relevant qualifications can support that picture.

On mobile, the route to a phone call, directions or an enquiry should be easy to find. Forms should ask for enough information to be useful without making the first contact hard work.

DIFFERENT BUSINESSES, DIFFERENT PRIORITIES

What might your website need?

These are examples to help shape a brief, rather than a fixed list of features included in every project.

Estate agents

Agency services, areas covered and clear property information. If listings are needed, we discuss how they will be entered, updated and removed.

Retail businesses

Product or range information, opening hours, location and contact details. A shop information site and an online selling project need different scopes.

Builders & trades

Services, areas covered, project galleries and a useful quote enquiry. Real examples can help explain the kind and scale of work you take on.

Construction firms

Capabilities, project types and completed work, with a clear route for prospective customers to discuss requirements.

Plan the content with the design.

Design works better when it has real information to work with. Early in the project, we agree who will prepare service descriptions, photographs, business details and any project material.

We consider readable text, clear headings, navigation, keyboard use and layouts across screen sizes. We also discuss page titles, descriptions and meaningful URLs as part of the page structure. These are useful foundations, rather than a promise of search rankings.

Keeping content up to date ↗

Replacing an existing website?

We look at what should stay, what needs improving and which existing pages people may still use. Content, images, URLs, forms and connections all need considering before the replacement goes live.

A redesign can be an opportunity to simplify an overgrown website. It can also mean retaining a useful structure and improving the presentation. The starting point is the problem you need to solve.

FROM BRIEF TO LAUNCH

A clear scope before the build.

Understand

We discuss your business, audience, existing site, priorities and budget to define what the project needs to achieve.

Shape

We agree the page structure and visual direction, with a plan for content and the feedback needed to progress.

Build & review

We develop the agreed pages and features, then review content, navigation, forms and layouts before launch.

Launch & maintain

We agree the launch arrangements, who manages updates and what ongoing support is required.

PLANNING YOUR WEBSITE

Before we start.

What should I send you first?+

Your current website, main services, location or service area, the customers you want to reach and what is not working today. A rough budget and preferred timing also help us plan a realistic scope.

What affects the price?+

The number and variety of page layouts, content preparation, photography, CMS needs, functionality, integrations and migration work. We discuss these before proposing the scope; a five-page brochure site and a property website are different projects.

Can we start small?+

We can discuss a first phase focused on your essential services and enquiry routes, with further features considered later. It helps to identify likely future requirements early so they can inform the structure.

What will be included?+

The proposal should set out the agreed pages, design work, functionality, content responsibilities, review stages and launch arrangements. Hosting, ongoing maintenance and additional work should be clear too.
