Abaca Digital is run by Baker Tian, a .NET developer based in London, and has been online at abacadigital.com since 2012. Over about 15 years, Baker has worked on around 30 website projects, from small company sites to multilingual CMS platforms.

Most clients have come through recommendation: former employers and colleagues, businesses we have worked with before, and people they have introduced. When you work with Abaca Digital, you deal directly with the developer leading your project. For design, hosting and other specialist work, Baker brings in a small group of trusted self-employed specialists, so you get the right skills with a single point of contact. We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so each one gets proper attention.

We welcome estate agents, retailers, builders, construction firms and organisations with more involved publishing or website functionality. The starting point is your business: what you do, who you serve, your budget and the information your customers need.

Our capabilities also draw on professional experience with Sitecore and Optimizely (formerly Episerver), gained through roles outside Abaca Digital client projects. That experience enables us to work on more complex .NET and CMS requirements.

Experience with a clear context.

The portfolio distinguishes direct client work, projects delivered through other agencies, our own websites and independent research. Each case study identifies the confirmed role and available date, and explains whether the original version is still used.

For example, Synergy Estate remains a direct client using our design and CMS. Isle of Man Rent a Car is work delivered through another agency, with technical involvement since 2010. Our eToolPlus, DigitalCalcs and QalcHub sites are our own products.

A design you can start from.

Our free HTML templates give smaller businesses a way to compare layouts before commissioning a build. Each download contains its own presentation files and sample content, with a licence explaining how it can be used.

Connecting a template to editable content, handling real enquiries and maintaining the deployed website are separate pieces of work. We agree those responsibilities with you, along with the scope and cost.
