THE PROJECT

A product catalogue
with a route to purchase.

In 2017, Abaca Digital built an ecommerce website for Theorist UK, selling jewellery and accessories. The project included Worldpay integration for online payments.

The original website is no longer live. The supplied screenshot preserves a view of its accessories catalogue, with large product images, names and prices.

CONFIRMED PROJECT SCOPE

Online retail
and payment integration.

  • Jewellery and accessories ecommerce website
  • Product catalogue presentation
  • Worldpay payment integration

The screenshot also shows navigation for new products, jewellery, collections and accessories, alongside category links and controls for material, type, colour, sorting and price range.

PRODUCTS & PAYMENTS

From browsing
to buying.

An ecommerce project connects product presentation with the payment journey.

Theorist UK brought jewellery and accessories into an online catalogue and included an integration with Worldpay. That payment connection was part of the original development work.

This historical case study does not describe a current checkout service or imply a Worldpay partnership or accreditation.

PLANNING AN ONLINE SHOP

Define the catalogue
and the checkout.

A retail website brief should cover the products, the information customers need and the payment journey. Category structure and product imagery are part of that discussion alongside the functionality.

Scope the integration.

For new projects, payment provider requirements and the intended checkout experience need reviewing before the work is agreed. Ecommerce and payment integrations are separately scoped services.
